Meet the Team Behind New Jersey Animal Control
Samantha Verde
I am Sam, the dispatcher / liaison for New Jersey Animal Control. I am usually the first voice you hear when calling our office, serving as the line of communication between Residence, Officers, ACO's and Office Staff. I strive to provide the best experience for everyone needing service, ensuring that each call is handled with respect, compassion, understanding, and professionalism. I am grateful to be a part of the NJAC team!
Animal Control Officer Hurst
I’m drawn not only to the goal of protecting and saving animals, but to the unpredictable rhythm that comes with it: the strange calls, the difficult moments, the small victories that don’t always make headlines but mean everything to us. I’m especially interested in the tools that make this job more precise and effective: advanced equipment such as thermal cameras, drones, evolving technology and any interesting gadgets that help me save more animals.
Animal Control Officer Santino
Officer Santino started his ACO Journey in 2014. His background that makes him a well-rounded Animal Control Officer include working as a dog trainer, assisting in wildlife rehab as well as owning a variety of animals over the years. To date, Mat has saved well over 4,500 animals in Burlington County alone and climbing higher every day. His hope is that all the animals in the shelter find loving homes
